Estimated pricing for an additional insured

Additional Insured coverage is often included on General Liability policies, but if it’s not, it’s a common coverage to add on for minimal additional premium. Pricing will depend on if you are adding specific AI coverage (for one entity at a time) or blanket AI coverage (for multiple entities as required by contract, if you anticipate more requests for this in the future). Specific AI endorsements typically cost ~$50-100, but we have seen them come in as high as $250 for certain carriers or if the work being done for the Additional Insured is especially risky. We see blanket coverage come in around $500, but almost always less than $1000. These are just rough estimates and can change based on your relationship to the AI, the carrier, or the type of coverage the AI applies to.
